2011 National Dog Walk

The Limerick National Dog Walk on Easter Monday proved to be a great success.  With almost 100 dogs taking part in so many different shapes, colours and sizes the walk was enjoyed by everyone.

The event was due to be started by Deputy Mayor Cormac Hurley, but when the dogs heard their cue music "who let the dogs out" they were off!  There was no stopping them or calling them back.  Weather wise we had a great day, a little overcast, but no rain.

Too early to say how much was raised, but we would like to thank everyone who participated and especially those who raised sponsorship money for us.  A big thank you also to David who provided some great music, the Irish Red Cross for being on stand-by, the local Gardai, Carers Association staff who volunteered their time to support us and to all the Petmania staff who got behind the event 100%
