Mary Kennedy
Mary Kennedy

Mary Kennedy is an Irish television personality whose broadcasting career started as continuity announcer with RTE. She went on to join the RTE News Team, becoming a newscaster. Mary was co-presenter with Marty Whelan on the magazine programme Open House. She is currently co-presenter on the RTE local affairs show Nationwide. Mary has been a patron of The Carers Association for over six years and she has been involved in many promotional campaigns for the Association including Membership and the Carers of the Year Awards.

Marty Whelan

Marty Whelan is a Jacobs Award winning Irish radio and television personality. Frequently seen and heard on RTE radio and television, he has presented a variety of shows amongst which was RTE Open House with Mary Kennedy. Marty at Midday saw Marty receive his own weekday lunchtime show on Lyric FM in 2009. Marty also co presents the new series of Winning Streak. Marty joined The Carers Association as Patron in 2008, since his patronage commenced he has launched our Membership Campaign and has been involved with the Carers of the Year Awards.

Mick O’Dwyer
Mick O’Dwyer

Mick O'Dwyer is a Gaelic Football manager and former Kerry County player currently managing the Wicklow senior inter-county team. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest and most successful players and managers of all time. From the start of his playing career until his retirement in 1974, "Micko", as he is known, won every honor in the game. Micko has been patron of The Carers Association for over six years and has traveled with family carers on the annual International Fundraising Walk over the past few years.
