Health & Safety Policy

All Learners and Tutors need to be able to enjoy a safe learning environment. The venue in which any of our courses are being carried out will have been assessed for suitability.

Learners and Tutors need to be aware that they also have a duty under the Safety, Health and Welfare Act to assist The Carers Association in maintaining a safe place in which to enjoy training and also a specific legal duty not to interfere with anything that may compromise their own safety or the safety of others in the learning environment.

Any act which compromises the Health and Safety of any person will be taken as a serious offence and could be subject to further action being taken against the person or people involved.

If a Learner or Tutor feels that there is a specific risk to health and safety the Training Unit Manager or HR Manager within The Carers Association should be contacted immediately by email to training@carersireland.com or by phone to 057-9322920.

In the event of an Accident or Incident, the Accident / Incident Report Form must be completed immediately and sent to The Training Unit Manager or HR Manager in The Carers Association. The HR Manager and Training Unit Manager should also be informed by phone on 057-9322920.
