To give participants a good knowledge of Moving & Handling principles and practice for inanimate objects and patients

Training Methods

The course is a mixture of theory, practical demonstrations and practical application of the theory in using moving and handling aids to move people safely. A workbook is also completed with moving and handling relevant questions.

Assessment Criteria

The Learner is assessed on their ability to complete a series of Patient Moving & Handling tasks safely.
A Certificate of Attendance is issued upon successful completion of the training. This validation is valid for two years from date of issue.
